Trenton Doyle Hancock

Trenton Doyle Hancock is a painter whose paintings are filled with characters and narratives surrounding an imaginary world where the evil beings ("vegans") come from underground to feed on the other beings. ("mounds")  He mentions in the video above that he has, "taken a lot of cues from George Grosz," who was previously posted on Feedbag here.  You can head over to Art21and check out a good bit of his work and some interviews here.  He is represented by James Cohan Gallery which also has a good bit of his work up here.
